Visual Designer Intern

About the Role

GrowthX is building a media house within its Creative Studio. As a Design Intern, you will collaborate with the Community team to create event creatives and brand content, aiming to bring events to life, generate engaging content, and develop creatives for cross-platform distribution. This is a practical role for an individual with a strong design sense, the ability to work efficiently, and proficiency in utilizing AI tools for enhanced outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create creatives for events, workshops, buildathons, and community campaigns.
• Develop social media creatives and brand content designed for visibility and sharing across platforms.
• Adapt creatives for various platforms and experiment with formats to increase reach and engagement.
• Translate briefs into creatives rapidly, incorporating feedback and maintaining project momentum.
• Utilize AI tools to explore concepts, accelerate design workflows, and improve output quality.
• Assist with the design of landing pages, go-to-market creatives, newsletters, and other design requirements for various teams.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• A strong sense of design and an understanding of what makes creatives impactful.
• The ability to quickly translate ideas into finished creatives without sacrificing quality.
• Comfort and proficiency in experimenting with and integrating AI tools into the creative process.
• Initiative, a proactive learning approach, and ownership of work.
• Adaptability to uncertainty, demonstrating a scrappy, nimble, and resourceful mindset.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalents.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree, or self-taught with a strong portfolio.

Bonus Points

• Experience designing creatives for events, communities, or social media.
• Experience with video editing or motion graphics using Premiere Pro or After Effects.
• Active experimentation with AI design tools and workflows.
• Previous experience working within a startup or a fast-paced team environment.
