Software Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software features for current and future products.
• Develop switch-controller related features for the FortiGate/FortiSwitch product line.
• Perform bug fixing for current products.
• Implement high-quality software features on schedule.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong C and Linux experience is essential.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, switching, and routing.
• Familiarity with socket programming.
• Familiarity with ARM and x86 architectures in a multi-process/thread programming environment.
• Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies.
• Knowledge of software development fundamentals.
• Knowledge of scripting languages: Shell and Python.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in software engineering.

Note: Wage ranges are expected to be $134,000 - $220,000. Exact salary offers depend on various factors.
