Embedded Systems Intern

About the Role

• Join the embedded systems team and work on the electronics of the pump schematics.
• Contribute to PCB layout, board bring-up, and integration with motor, sensors, and power subsystems.
• Assist with testing and documentation as the project moves toward pre-production.
• This is a 5-6 month unpaid internship.

Key Responsibilities

• Support schematic capture and PCB layout for compact, low-power, mixed-signal boards.
• Integrate and test hardware subsystems: motor and encoder, pressure sensing, battery and charging, BLE.
• Work with the firmware team on hardware/firmware integration and on-bench validation.
• Prepare test setups and fixtures, and record test results.
• Write and maintain engineering documents such as schematics reviews, test reports, and design notes.
• Support pre-compliance checks (EMC, safety, battery) and DFM/DFT discussions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• PCB design experience in KiCad, Altium, or similar.
• Solid fundamentals in analog and digital electronics and power supply design.
• Comfort with lab equipment and debugging hardware.
• Basic embedded knowledge (microcontrollers, I2C/SPI/UART).
• STM32 experience is ideal.
• Clear written communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Third or Fourth year B.tech/M.tech/ recent graduate in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field.
