Graduate Engineer Trainee

About the Role

A structured start for graduates who want to build real software—using AI tools the way modern engineering teams do, with experienced engineers guiding and reviewing the work. You’ll join Beryl’s engineering team and work on production applications, automation, and system integrations for real businesses. You’ll start with guided work alongside senior engineers and take on more ownership as your judgment grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and improve features in web applications and APIs.
• Use AI-assisted tools for research, coding, testing, and documentation—and critically review what they produce.
• Write tests, fix bugs, and learn how production systems are monitored and supported.
• Work on integrations between business systems such as CRM and ERP platforms.
• Take part in code reviews and learn to explain the reasoning behind your technical decisions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• A recently completed degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong fundamentals in programming, logic, and problem-solving.
• Working knowledge of at least one programming language.
• Curiosity, and the discipline to learn new tools and concepts quickly.
• Clear written and spoken communication.

Nice to Have

• Personal, academic, or open-source projects you can walk us through.
• Exposure to Ruby on Rails, React, Node.js, or Python.
• A basic understanding of databases and SQL.
• Hands-on experimentation with AI tools or LLM APIs.
