Key Responsibilities
- Perform design engineering duties using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D for project design, under the supervision of the Project Manager.
- Assist with construction observation/administration, under the supervision of a Project Construction Leader.
- Prepare design documents, including project reports, calculation of quantities, plans production, and specifications.
- Build effective working relationships with other employees and clients.
- Coordinate with public agencies and attend project meetings, under supervision of the Project Manager.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Entry level to 4 years of related engineering experience.
- Self-motivated individual who works well in a team environment.
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Knowledge of Civil3D and/or AutoCAD computer software.
Qualifications
- Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE) passed, or commitment to take the FE exam in the future.
- Experience on highway and bridge projects (preferably WisDOT Facility Development Process).
- Experience with construction observation/administration.
