About the Role
As an assistant in occupational therapy, you will support the occupational therapy specialist in planning and implementing therapy and support measures for clients in various settings. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Karnataka, India.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of materials.
- Accompanying exercises to promote motor skills, cognition, and daily living skills.
- Documentation of progress.
- Assisting in the organization of the daily therapy routine.
- Coordinating appointments.
- Supporting communication with relatives.
- Participating in the development of individual support programs.
Qualifications
- Occupational Therapy & Rehabilitation: Basic knowledge of occupational therapy and rehabilitation processes is required.
- Patient Care: Strong skills in patient care and empathetic interaction with people are necessary.
- Program & Measure Development: Experience or interest in contributing to the development of support programs and structured therapy plans is desirable.
- Home Visits & Home Care: Willingness and ability to care for clients in their home environment (Home Care) and support occupational therapy measures there.
- Further Qualifications:
- Completed or ongoing training in the occupational therapy or nursing-therapeutic field.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Sense of responsibility.
- Basic English language skills.
- Willingness for interdisciplinary collaboration with medical and therapeutic specialists.
