About the Role
Junior Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting Solutions in Chennai.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all cost accounting activities.
- Understand and follow corporate policy for key cost accounting metrics.
- Implement time-saving/cost-reducing initiatives through pocket kaizens & process improvements.
- Track reasons for metric non-conformances through regular follow-ups with the operations team.
- Post month-end journal entries related to accruals and reclass in ERP.
- Prepare and maintain SOP in line with the latest process and document them in DMS.
- Learn and serve as a backup for the cost accountant.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Basic level knowledge in MS applications.
- Good knowledge in MS Office.
- Understand and interpret accounting principles and policies.
- ERP (implied by posting month-end journal entries).
- DMS (implied by documenting SOPs).
Qualifications
- B.com/BBA (Finance)/M.com/MBA (Finance).
- Freshers/0-2 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills in English.
- Good team player with analytical skills.
- Willingness to learn and deploy learned skills in daily processes.
