About the Role
The Healthcare Specialist is a full-time, on-site role supporting health and safety aspects of GDGC MLRIT’s on-campus initiatives and events. The role involves providing basic medical support, responding to minor emergencies, and coordinating with local healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic medical support during activities.
- Respond to minor emergencies.
- Coordinate with local healthcare providers when needed.
- Monitor participant well-being.
- Maintain health-related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with campus health guidelines.
- Deliver training sessions on first aid and emergency response.
- Support health awareness activities.
- Collaborate with organizers to design safer event environments.
Qualifications
- Healthcare-related skills such as EMT and basic Medicine knowledge.
- Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
- Training skills to conduct first aid, emergency response, and health awareness sessions.
- Solid understanding of Healthcare practices, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Relevant certifications in EMT, first aid, or basic life support are highly beneficial.
- Experience in a campus, community, or event-based healthcare support role is an advantage.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, make quick decisions, and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
