About the Role

S R J K & ASSOCIATES is a professional accounting and advisory firm based in Udaipur. The firm emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and ethical practice in all engagements. The Accountant Intern will support the finance and accounting team with day-to-day tasks. This is an internship role based in Udaipur with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the finance and accounting team with day-to-day tasks.
• Record financial transactions.
• Maintain ledgers.
• Assist with bank reconciliations.
• Prepare basic financial reports.
• Support tax and audit activities.
• Organize documentation.
• Help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with senior team members.
• Learn firm procedures.
• Contribute to process improvement where possible.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including journal entries, ledgers, and basic financial statements.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software (e.g., Excel, Tally, or similar tools) and comfort working with numerical data.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping, with good organizational skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, follow established processes, and work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and preparing basic financial summaries.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Interest in tax, audit, and compliance work; familiarity with local regulations is an advantage but not required.
• Professional integrity, reliability, and a willingness to adhere to firm standards and confidentiality requirements.
