Digital Services Integrated Data and Analytics Internship Summer 2027

About the Role

This is a full-time, 14-week hybrid summer internship for Digital Services Integrated Data and Analytics at Corewell Health. The internship will occur during one of the following time frames:

• May 3 - August 13, 2027
• May 10 - August 20, 2027

The internship is open to candidates residing near Corewell Health's primary regions:

• West (Grand Rapids)
• East (Southfield)
• South (St. Joseph)

An intern will provide valuable support to the Integrated Data Analytics team, gaining hands-on experience in healthcare data and analytics. Opportunities exist to contribute to projects involving data analysis, reporting, documentation, and process improvement, supporting the Finance and Actuarial business areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Actuarial/Finance Reporting Enhancement Project: Review existing reports, identify improvement opportunities, and help design enhanced reporting solutions.
• Work with team members and business partners to document requirements, validate results, and ensure reports provide meaningful information for decision-making.
• Learn how processes and decisions support patient care and operations, including:
• Gathering and documenting requirements
• Understanding the logic behind current workflows
• Designing and building new solutions
• Creating and validating end products
• Auditing and reviewing results for accuracy
• Meeting with end users and stakeholders
• Participate in project and team meetings, troubleshooting issues, documenting processes and findings, and presenting progress or recommendations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• This is a Hybrid position.
• Work hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Days Worked: Monday to Friday

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an area of accountability.
• May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.
