Associate Software Engineer

About the Role

Adlife Enterprises is seeking an Associate Software Engineer for a 2-month contract, extendable, within its Delivery Platform. This role is based in Delhi NCR with a hybrid work model (4 days in office).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and run backend services and APIs for delivery operations.
• Build live tracking for the delivery fleet.
• Modernize internal tools onto a production web stack.
• Own quality, including testing, deployments, and monitoring.
• Assist in guiding junior engineers by breaking down tasks and reviewing code.
• Collaborate directly with the operations team to understand problems before building solutions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong data structures and algorithms fundamentals.
• Backend development in Node.js or a similar language.
• Experience with REST API design.
• Proficiency in SQL, ideally PostgreSQL, including schema design and indexing.
• At least one application built and deployed yourself on any cloud or host, used by real people.
• Ability to clearly explain technical trade-offs to non-engineers.
• Nice to have: TypeScript, React, Docker and CI/CD, GCP or AWS, automated testing, experience with location or time-series data, Android/iOS Dev.

Qualifications

• Suitable for final-year students and engineers with 0–2 years of experience.
