Founding engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with lenders and lawyers to identify bottlenecks, and then design, test, and validate solutions.
• Translate direct customer metrics into insights to inform future product development.
• Architect and scale the document ingestion pipeline to improve speed and reliability with growing volume.
• Diagnose and fix issues with LLM output at the root cause, and build evaluations to maintain fixes.
• Develop the multi-agent system and associated tools for use with government sources.
• Ship end-to-end features in the web app, and manage its deployment on GCP with a focus on cost and latency.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• TypeScript and Node.js
• Working knowledge of React
• SQL
• A cloud platform ( GCP preferred)
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, including tool calling, structured output, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Experience debugging and measuring LLM performance using agent traces and evals.
• Experience building production-ready backend systems, including queues, retries, idempotency, and logs/traces for debugging.
• A habit of measurement: instrumenting shipped features and using data to guide next steps.
• Experience integrating with websites and APIs not designed for direct integration, including handling sessions, form posts, HTML parsing, and rate limits.

Qualifications

• 0 to 5 years of experience in building and shipping software. Internships, freelance work, and personal projects are considered.
• Reads Hindi, Kannada, Telugu or Tamil (Nice to have)
• Exposure to fintech, lending or legal work (Nice to have)
