2027 Summer Commercial Bank Internship

About the Role

• 10.5-week Enterprise Internship program providing meaningful work, feedback, coaching, and engaging events.
• Interns contribute to line of business specific projects that impact Key’s business and strategic pillars.
• Program includes networking, Learning Labs with internal/external speakers, and an assigned mentor.
• Focus on credit/lending within the Salt Lake City Market.
• Direct engagement with senior-level bankers and Commercial Analysts, providing hands-on exposure to Commercial Lending.
• Exposure to various segments within the Commercial Bank.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze commercial loan requests, including reviewing financial statement spreads, calculating key financial ratios, and assessing borrower business and financial integrity.
• Ensure accuracy of credit system data with designated teams.
• Work with clients for timely collection of financial statements to monitor performance.
• Perform system maintenance for proper portfolio assignments and ensure accurate pipeline activities within Salesforce with Relationship Managers.
• Complete a Capstone Project incorporating learnings in credit, business analytics, and client-facing deliverables/pitches.
• Perform other duties as necessary to support relationship management teams.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Salesforce (for pipeline activities).

Qualifications

• Completion of at least two years toward a four-year undergraduate degree program.
• Anticipated graduation in or before May 2028.
• Coursework in finance, accounting, economics, and/or data science (preferred).
• Minimum undergraduate 3.3 GPA.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from past work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
• Strong quantitative and critical thinking abilities.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Professional conduct.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate of $25 per hour.
• $2,000 Summer Internship Sign-on Bonus.
• Internship and Analyst positions are not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
