About the Role
Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc. has an opening for an Entry Level Highway Engineer in our Ground Transportation Division, based in Manchester, NH.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and preparation of calculations, plans, and specifications for State and Municipal Highway projects.
- Complete assignments with direction from the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
- Work as part of an integrated, multi-discipline team to solve technical challenges.
- Use software and other tools to develop designs and organize work.
- Gather, research, and maintain engineering records, including tests, drawings, and field data.
- May attend inspections, site visits, and meetings with clients and contractors for highway projects under construction.
- May be responsible for construction observation and limited administration.
- Read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred).
- EIT/EI preferred, or ability to obtain.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate strong writing and communication skills.
- Increase knowledge through continuous learning within and outside the organization, including pursuit of an advanced engineering degree and/or certification.
