About the Role

The Data Scientist Intern role at Evoastra is a full-time, on-site position based in Alibag. This role offers hands-on experience in applying data science techniques to real-world business challenges in a dynamic, innovation-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support data-driven projects by collecting, cleaning, and organizing datasets.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis.
• Assist in building statistical and analytical models.
• Prepare reports and dashboards.
• Visualize insights for internal stakeholders.
• Help translate business questions into analytical solutions.
• Collaborate with senior data scientists and engineers.
• Document findings and methodologies.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in data workflows and tools.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge in Data Science and Data Analytics, with the ability to apply core concepts to real-world problems.
• Strong skills in Data Analysis and Data Visualization to interpret results and present insights clearly.
• Understanding of Statistics, including basic probability, hypothesis testing, and regression techniques.
• Familiarity with programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R, and relevant libraries or tools.
• Experience with spreadsheets, databases, or data manipulation tools; exposure to SQL is an advantage.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related discipline).
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new tools and methods quickly.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
