Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

About the Role

• Seeking an SDET with a strong background in software quality assurance and testing.
• Hands-on experience in C/C++.
• Experience in automated testing, unit and integration testing, system testing, and safety-critical software environments.
• Experience in the Avionics or Automotive industry is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with DO-178C is a major advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain unit and integration test cases using C/C++.
• Develop and manage automated testing suites and frameworks.
• Perform comprehensive system and software testing.
• Identify, debug, track, and resolve software defects.
• Apply software quality practices for safety-critical systems.
• Follow applicable DO-178C standards and processes.
• Work closely with software developers and engineering teams to define testing strategies.
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and align testing approaches.
• Travel to client locations when required.
• Document test cases, test results, defects, and validation activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software testing and quality processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on software testing experience using C/C++.
• Understanding of automated testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Experience with safety-critical software development/testing is preferred.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel to client locations as required.
