About the Role

The Early Talent team at Palo Alto Networks is dedicated to identifying and nurturing the next generation of talent through our intern and new college graduate programs. We develop strategic on-campus recruiting initiatives to attract top-tier early talent and provide engaging, impactful programs once they are onboarded. This role is fast-paced, detail-oriented, and incredibly rewarding.

Key Responsibilities

Proactive Campus Planning & Employer Branding

  • Architect and build out the long-term campus layout and engagement strategy for future recruiting cycles, including school tiering, target selection, and ecosystem design.
  • Build and maintain a vetted "short-list" of active interviewers, campus ambassadors, and volunteer business representatives.
  • Coordinate operational logistics for trek talks, on-campus speaker sessions, local career fairs, and major diversity conferences.
  • Own the end-to-end swag lifecycle, including inventory tracking, budgeting, ordering, and shipping materials for campus and virtual events.
  • Lead pre-event prep calls with business reps and internal volunteers; drive debrief calls to track attendee data and map follow-up.
  • Develop candidate-facing collateral, one-pagers, landing page content, and videos to establish a centralized repository of self-serve resources.

Interviewer Enablement & Feedback Analytics

  • Compile, evaluate, and synthesize weekly interview feedback; collaborate with leadership on scoring calibration and Decision Outcomes (DOs).
  • Serve as the primary operational coordinator for technical hackathons, interviewer calibration trainings, and interviewer appreciation luncheons.
  • Assist recruiters and managers with high-volume interview coordination, panel scheduling, and event-driven talent loops to maintain target SLAs and candidate experience.
  • Partner on building and maintaining enablement resources, evaluation criteria guides, and interviewer training materials.

Stakeholder Alignment & Targeted Pipeline Execution

  • Serve as the primary operational liaison for engineering leads to streamline updates, feedback loops, and interview workflows.
  • Manage a focused, select candidate portfolio through the full-cycle recruiting process for niche, proactive, or specialized hiring tracks.
  • Drive and monitor the hiring manager placement strategy for incoming Interns and NCGs, ensuring proper project allocation and leadership sign-off.
  • Absorb operational coordination, interview scheduling, and targeted screening to offset team capacity constraints.
  • Connect with coordinators weekly to ensure operational interview processes and workflows are running seamlessly.

Operations, Onboarding Triage & Reporting

  • Conduct daily triage of Staffing Connect tickets and cross-functional onboarding queues, resolving bottlenecks across background checks and GMI issues.
  • Compile and publish the Early Talent Weekly Report, tracking DO approvals and offer acceptances, and managing the active routing of the VIP/internal referral queue.
  • Pull, organize, and track end-to-end Decision Overview (DO) and performance feedback data to drive conversion decisions.
  • Partner closely with Early Talent Programs to synchronize candidate profiles, onboarding logistics, and start dates with large-scale cohort launches, continuously removing operational bottlenecks to improve candidate experience.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Demonstrated organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Comfort navigating spreadsheets, organizing data, and summarizing notes, feedback, or key operational metrics.
  • Foundational experience building presentation decks, one-pagers, student-facing resources, or marketing materials (e.g., Canva, Google Slides/Docs).
  • Experience with event logistics, scheduling, or campus-related initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of experience or internship experience in Recruiting, HR, Campus Engagement, Event Planning, or Program Operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with an enthusiastic, customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn structured interview processes and candidate sourcing techniques.
  • High energy, accountable, adaptable self-starter who thrives as a proactive utility player.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a clear, professional, and engaging communication style.
