About the Role

As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe's, you will combine customer service skills with a genuine care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping. This role is ideal for individuals who want to engage with customers and assist them in solving home improvement challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately.
• Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store.
• Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Computer proficiency: 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Retail technology: 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
• Basic Skills: Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Physical Demands: Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities.
• Lifting: Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.
• Working Conditions: May work in inside and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Exposure to constant or intermittent noises, moving or shaking objects and equipment is possible. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance.
• Travel: This role does not require regular travel; however, may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

Qualifications

• Preferred Experience: 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bilingual skills: Preferred.
• Trade Certification: Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).
