Purchasing and Inventory Management Associate

About the Role

John Robshaw Textiles is a luxury bedding and textile company based in New York, NY, known for its distinctive interpretation of traditional Indian block printing. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. The Purchasing and Inventory Management Associate will support all aspects of production and inventory, including assigning and managing product SKUs, purchasing, maintaining inventory levels, creating and tracking purchase orders, and coordinating samples and swatches. The role requires strong math and analytical skills.

• Purchasing
• Maintaining inventory levels
• Creating and tracking purchase orders
• Coordinating samples and swatches
• Ensuring stock levels align with demand
• Supporting a positive shopping experience for customers and the business
• Communicating with domestic and international factories
• Working closely with design and sales teams

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience creating and managing Excel spreadsheets
• Use of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Use of Mail Order Manager (M.O.M.)
• Knowledge of CPSC guidelines is a plus
• Experience with inventory management software, such as M.O.M., preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
• Previous experience in purchasing, inventory management, and order processing
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and provide insights
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish

Salary range: $60,000–$70,000 per year
