IT Administrator

About the Role

SOBIS Software GmbH is seeking an IT Administrator to manage clients with Microsoft Intune, administer Microsoft Entra ID, and handle Exchange Online/Microsoft 365 mail. This role involves integrating Microsoft environments with company products, maintaining Active Directory and Group Policies, and providing 1st/2nd-level support for Windows clients. Additionally, responsibilities include maintaining and patching Debian servers, automating tasks with Ansible and scripts, documenting systems, standardizing processes, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage clients with Microsoft Intune: enrollment, configuration and compliance policies, app deployment, and updates
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID: users, groups, Conditional Access, MFA, licensing
• Run Exchange Online / Microsoft 365 mail: mail flow, shared mailboxes, spam and security policies
• Integrate customers' Microsoft environments with company products (e.g., Entra ID SSO, app registrations, mail integration), working directly with their IT teams
• Maintain Active Directory and Group Policies (GPOs) where still in use
• Provide 1st/2nd-level support for Windows clients, hardware, and onboarding/offboarding
• Maintain and patch Debian servers
• Automate recurring tasks with Ansible and scripts (Bash/PowerShell)
• Document systems, standardize recurring tasks into clear processes, and drive continuous improvement

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for client management
• Several years of experience administering Microsoft 365 / Entra ID, plus Active Directory and GPOs
• Solid Windows client know-how
• Confident customer communication: ability to explain technical requirements clearly and guide customers' IT teams through integrations
• Basic to intermediate Linux skills (Debian/Ubuntu, shell, systemd, SSH)
• Experience with Ansible or a willingness to grow into infrastructure-as-code
• Scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Bash
• A process-oriented mindset: ability to spot recurring problems, fix their root causes, and make improvements
• Structured, independent work style
• Excellent English communication skills
