Software Engineer Intern (0-6 Months)

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern with strong knowledge of web application development, particularly backend development using Node.js and Go (Golang). Experience with React, HTML, and CSS is an added advantage. You will initially support day-to-day business operations by helping maintain existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement small features. As you gain experience and familiarity with our systems, your responsibilities will expand to include more complex development work and greater ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Support business-as-usual operations by maintaining and improving existing web applications.
• Investigate and resolve application bugs and issues with guidance from the engineering team.
• Implement minor features and enhancements based on business requirements.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and/or Go.
• Help test changes, document updates, and keep applications reliable.
• Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and participate in code reviews.
• Gradually take on larger features and broader responsibilities as your skills and understanding of the applications grow.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong understanding of web application development and how frontend and backend systems interact.
• Working knowledge of Node.js and Go, with the ability to build applications in at least one of these technologies.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, databases, and Git.
• Ability to read existing code, troubleshoot problems, and write clear, maintainable code.
• Experience with React, HTML, and CSS is an added advantage.
