About the Role
The Mechanical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City. This position involves designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies for special purpose machines and related products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for special purpose machines and related products.
- Create and modify CAD models and drawings.
- Perform mechanical calculations.
- Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Support prototype development and testing.
- Incorporate feedback from clients and manufacturing to refine designs.
- Maintain design documentation.
- Adhere to project timelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and processes.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in Design Engineering and Machine Design, including mechanisms, assemblies, and special purpose machinery.
- Experience in Product Design, focusing on functionality, reliability, and ease of manufacturing.
- Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar) for 3D modeling and detailed drawings.
- Ability to interpret engineering standards, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Readiness to work on-site in Pune City and interact with clients and manufacturing teams.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with applied knowledge of core mechanical principles and materials.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Prior experience in industrial machinery, automation, or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
