Job Details

• Base Pay: $17.25 per hour
• Shift Differential: $0.85 per hour
• Shift: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 3 PM - 11 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the warehouse by crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks.
• Ensure orders are filled accurately for customer satisfaction.
• Visually inspect cartons for structural soundness, repair and rebox as needed.
• Load loose cartons into trucks to ensure stability during shipment.
• Collect wood product for crate set-up and construction.
• Build crates from wooden materials around cartons of product for shipment.
• Repair or reseal damaged cartons.
• Consolidate accessory and siding products on storage racks.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on motorized equipment.
• Perform warehouse maintenance and housekeeping.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings with the Distribution Supervisor, if necessary.
• Perform basic duties of Warehouse Associate 2, based on ability and experience.
• Maintain an accurate time card daily and calculate on a weekly basis.
• Actively participate in all plant safety programs.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Equipment/Tools Used:
• Claw hammer
• Pneumatic nail gun
• Pneumatic bander
• Electric skill saw
• Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses, ear plugs.
• Motorized Equipment: Willingness to obtain a license to operate.
• Crane Operation: If applicable, may need to be certified.

Qualifications

• Experience: No experience necessary; mechanical aptitude helpful.
• Knowledge: Basic knowledge of shipping process helpful.
• Physical/Mental/Visual Demands:
• Good eye/hand coordination.
• Excellent manual dexterity to use hand and electrical tools.
• Ability to read and comprehend numbers.
• Ability to lift up to 86 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Ability to lift 87 to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Detailed oriented.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to interact well with others.
• Ability to separate product by profiling color.
• Working Conditions: Warehouse environment with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dust. Position requires continual lifting, twisting, and bending.
• Safety:
• Safe work performance required at all times.
• Perform all duties in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals.
• Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable.
• Immediately report unsafe working conditions.
