AI Data Collector

About the Role

Rilith is seeking iPhone/iPad users in India to capture Live Photos of handwritten text for an AI data collection project. This is a paid, remote, freelance/flexible opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture Live Photos of authentic handwritten text using the rear camera of an eligible Apple device.
• Examples of handwritten materials include:
• Notes and memos
• Shopping or to-do lists
• Letters
• Diaries or journals
• Greeting cards
• Recipes
• Tables and forms
• Flyers
• Other eligible materials
• Ensure all content is real, naturally occurring, and not AI-generated, synthetic, or staged.
• Handwritten documents should not be created specifically for this project.
• Personal information (faces, names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, etc.) must be removed or hidden before submission.

Payment

• Earn $1.25 USD per approved asset.
• Participants can submit up to 20 assets per language, subject to project requirements.
• Payments are subject to quality approval.
• Payment cycle: within 10 days.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be located in India.
• Must be able to read and understand one of the following languages: Bangla, Gujarati, Odia, Punjabi, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu.
• Own an eligible Apple device running iOS/iPadOS 16 or later.
• Use the rear camera to capture Live Photos.
• Submit photos with a minimum resolution of 7.9 megapixels.
• Be able to capture handwritten text from a variety of real-world locations (restaurants, stores, shops, workplaces, public environments) to ensure diverse and natural data.

Language Requirements

• Handwritten text should primarily be in the selected language.
• Small amounts of another language (up to approximately 20%) are acceptable when naturally present, but the target language must remain primary.

Photo Quality Guidelines

• Provide a wide variety of:
• Different handwriting styles
• Different writing instruments (pens, pencils, markers, ink colors, line thicknesses)
• Different paper types (lined, plain, graph, textured, colored, aged)
• Different layouts, decorations, highlights, and doodles where appropriate
• Different lighting conditions, backgrounds, and camera angles
