About The Role

• Mainframe - Batch Operations
• Ensuring the continuity of batch operations and meeting service level agreements.
• Responsible for batch monitoring tools.
• Expertise in CA7 scheduling, NDM, JCL.

What You Will Be Doing

• Collaborate with engineers to create technical designs, develop, test, and solve complex problems from concept to production.
• Contribute to automated build, deploy, and test processes.
• Work iteratively, focusing on a "fail fast" approach.
• Demo work for colleagues and business teams.
• Conduct research on new technologies to advance products and platforms.
• Create mechanisms/architectures for rapid recovery, repair, and cleanup of existing solutions, with an understanding of fault tolerance and failure domains.
• Identify opportunities for self-service capabilities for infrastructure and application management tasks.
• Create automated tests that integrate into automated code pipelines.
• Provide deep and detailed monitoring across all application levels.
• Ensure procedures are followed and standards are met while tracking jobs and maintaining documentation.
• Stay updated on module/system enhancements.
• Apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
• Adhere to FIS policies and methodology.
• Display professionalism in conduct and dress.
• Identify and research problems to determine better utilization of mainframe resources and their impact on daily production cycles.
• Work on assignments that are routine to moderately difficult, requiring some decision-making.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience working on SOA Architecture, Microservices Architecture, Event-driven, and serverless architectures.
• Good knowledge of JAVA/JEE Design Patterns, Enterprise Integration Design Patterns.
• SOA Design Patterns, MicroServices Design Patterns.
• Experience working on RestFull services, SOAP WebServices, gRPC, Async & streaming technologies.
• Experience working on Java 1.8+, Spring 4.x+, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring REST, Spring MVC, Spring-integration, Tomcat 8.5.x (embedded version), JUnit + Spring-test.
• Experience working on ORM / Persistence frameworks or technologies like Hibernate, MyBatis, iBatis.
• Experience in designing and developing Fault Tolerant, HA systems.
• Good hands-on experience on AWS stack and services like S3, EC2, KMS, EKS, MSK, Lambda, IAM, RDS, Dynamo, CloudWatch.
• Good hands-on experience on Cloud Native projects like Prometheus, Grafana, Argo, Harbour, Helm, Istio, K8S.
• Good experience working on Agile development model and Automation Test-driven development (TDD) methodologies.
• Good experience using container technology for automated platform architecture, enabling seamless deployment between on-premise and external cloud environments.
• Good experience leveraging open technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Bash, Javascript, Python, Git, Jenkins, Linux, HAProxy, AWS Cloud, ELK, Java, Kafka, MongoDB, Zookeeper, and AWS Amazon Web Service (EC2 Container Service, Cloud Formation, Elastic Load Balancer, Auto scaling Group).
• Good experience integrating systems using protocols like REST, SOAP, MQ, TCP/IP, JSON.
• Good experience designing and building automated code deployment systems.
• Deep understanding of server virtualization, networking, and storage for scalable, high-availability solutions.
