About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Gurugram. The Interior Designer will develop design concepts for residential and commercial spaces, prepare layouts and 3D visualizations, select materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting, and ensure alignment with the firm’s design philosophy. The role involves collaborating closely with architects, consultants, and clients, translating project requirements into functional and aesthetically cohesive interior solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare presentations and drawings
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors
- Participate in site visits
- Support design implementation from early stages through execution
- Contribute to project documentation
- Maintain design quality standards
- Help integrate interior spaces with overall architectural and landscape concepts
- Develop design concepts for residential and commercial spaces
- Prepare layouts and 3D visualizations
- Select materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting
- Ensure alignment with the firm’s design philosophy
- Translate project requirements into functional and aesthetically cohesive interior solutions
Requirements & Tech Stack
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp / Revit
- Adobe Creative Suite
- 3D rendering software
Qualifications
- Strong interior design skills, including space planning, conceptual development, and material and finishes selection.
- Proficiency in design and visualization tools.
- Ability to read and produce detailed drawings, construction documentation, and specifications for interior projects.
- Knowledge of furniture, lighting, and product design principles, with attention to ergonomics, durability, and budget.
- Understanding of architectural coordination, landscape integration, and the relationship between built form and interior space.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project teams.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain documentation accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Prior experience in an architectural or design firm is an advantage.
- Awareness of contemporary design trends, sustainable materials, and best practices in user-centered and market-responsive design.
