Junior Interior Designer

About the Role

NIYA Design Studio is a growing interior design practice focused on creating functional, aesthetically balanced spaces for residential and commercial clients. This full-time, on-site Junior Interior Designer role is based in the Greater Bengaluru Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior designers in developing design concepts.
• Prepare mood boards.
• Assist with space planning for residential and commercial projects.
• Create and update construction drawings, layouts, and detailed interior design documentation.
• Assist with material, finishes, and FF&E selections.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Conduct site visits and document progress.
• Ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
• Participate in client meetings.
• Prepare presentations.
• Maintain organized project files and schedules.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills.
• Knowledge of Architecture principles and building standards relevant to interior projects.
• Proficiency in creating and reading Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, and finishes coordination.
• Working knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or presentation tools is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in the Greater Bengaluru Area and conduct regular site visits.

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and support site coordination.
