UI/UX Design Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Design Intern to support the design of our Mobile Applications and Web Applications. The intern will work closely with the Product, Development, and Business teams to create clean, modern, intuitive, and user-friendly digital experiences. This is an opportunity for candidates who have a strong foundation in UI/UX design principles and are looking to gain practical experience in designing real-world digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design user interfaces and experiences for mobile and web applications.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Convert product and business requirements into intuitive and practical UI/UX solutions.
• Work closely with Product, Development, and Business teams to understand requirements and deliver designs.
• Maintain consistency across screens, components, and platforms.
• Create and maintain reusable UI components and design systems.
• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and continuously improve designs.
• Ensure designs follow established UI/UX, usability, accessibility, and responsive design principles.
• Conduct basic user and usability research where required.
• Support the team in improving the overall digital user experience.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and fundamentals.
• Good understanding of:
• Visual hierarchy
• Spacing and alignment
• Typography
• Colour theory and contrast
• Consistency and usability
• Responsive design
• Understanding of user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction design.
• Hands-on knowledge of Figma is required.
• Knowledge of Canva, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or other design tools will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of designing for both mobile and web applications.
• Ability to create reusable components and maintain design consistency.
• Strong understanding of user experience and usability, beyond visual design.
• Ability to translate requirements into simple and effective design solutions.
• Good attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Students, recent graduates, or candidates pursuing a course in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Candidates with relevant project experience or a strong portfolio will be preferred.
• Candidates should be available for the complete 6-month internship period.
