Tendering Engineer and costing

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Tendering Engineer and Costing role based in Mumbai. The role involves preparing and reviewing quotations, cost estimates, and BOQs for electrical and interior infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quotations, cost estimates, and BOQs for electrical and interior infrastructure projects.
• Analyze tender documents, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for procurement-related information.
• Negotiate prices and terms where required.
• Conduct cost comparisons.
• Identify risks and value-engineering options.
• Ensure tenders comply with technical and commercial requirements.
• Communicate with internal project teams and external stakeholders to clarify technical queries.
• Support bid submissions.
• Maintain accurate records of tenders, costs, and procurement data.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• MS Excel and other costing tools.
• Familiarity with tendering software or ERP systems is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare and manage detailed quotations and cost estimates for infrastructure and interior projects.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret tender documents, drawings, and specifications, and perform cost analysis.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with clients, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Experience in procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor management, and price negotiation.
• Background in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline; diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under deadlines.
• Prior experience in tendering, estimation, or costing within construction, interiors, or infrastructure sectors is beneficial.
