About the Role
The Farmer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune District.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing daily agricultural activities such as preparing soil, planting crops, irrigating fields, and monitoring crop health.
- Managing routine tasks like applying fertilizers, controlling pests, and maintaining farm equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Harvesting produce.
- Handling basic record-keeping related to yields and inputs.
- Coordinating with supervisors or farm managers on production plans.
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Attention to safety, quality, and timely completion of farming activities.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Practical farming skills, including soil preparation, planting, irrigation, and basic crop care.
- Skills in operating and maintaining common agricultural tools and equipment safely.
- Skills in basic record-keeping, following instructions, and maintaining consistent work routines.
- Skills in working safely outdoors, managing physical tasks, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in the Pune District.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with farm supervisors and team members.
- Basic literacy and numeracy.
- Willingness to learn improved farming practices and technologies.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in agriculture, horticulture, or related fields is beneficial.
