Legal Intern

About the Role

The Legal Intern will support the legal function at CCPL by assisting with research on logistics, commercial, and regulatory law relevant to the company’s operations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jalandhar.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with research on logistics, commercial, and regulatory law.
• Draft and review contracts and legal documents.
• Prepare summaries and reports on legal issues.
• Help maintain organized documentation and compliance records.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the legal team to clarify legal requirements.
• Support risk assessments.
• Contribute to policy and process documentation.
• Coordinate with operations, finance, and management teams.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Strong foundation in Law, with an interest in commercial, corporate, and logistics-related regulations.
• Ability to handle Legal Issues, including basic analysis of contracts, compliance requirements, and risk factors under supervision.
• Experience or training in Legal Consulting and client advisory support, even at an academic or internship level.
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and formatting agreements, notices, and compliance records.
• Effective Communication skills, including clear written documentation, professional email etiquette, and ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Comfort with using basic office software (e.g., word processors, spreadsheets, document management tools).
• Familiarity with legal research databases is an advantage.
• Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
