Farm Supervisor

About the Role

AgResearch Labs (ARL) is seeking a Farm Supervisor to manage daily activities and operations at our farm. This role involves overseeing farm production, managing a team of 20–30 associates, monitoring crop performance, and ensuring smooth and efficient farm operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily farm operations at our Bangalore Rural site.
• Track crop growth, climate conditions, nutrient levels, and farming systems to ensure optimal yields.
• Supervise farm associates and ensure adherence to quality standards, operational procedures, and safety practices.
• Maintain accurate farm logs, prepare periodic reports, and support agronomy trials with reliable data.
• Work closely with the Production, Operations, and R&D teams to implement new processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency.
• Ensure all produce meets ARL's standards for clean, safe, and pesticide-free vegetables.
• Address on-ground operational challenges with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Monitor the efficient use of labour, materials, and other farm resources.
• Track production targets and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce operational losses.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• MS Office, email communication, and farm management apps or tools.

Qualifications

• Fresher to 2 years of experience in farming, hydroponics, greenhouses, irrigation systems, or production operations.
• Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and people-management skills.
• An ownership mindset and an interest in managing, monitoring, and improving farm operations.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including day and night shifts.
• Willingness to relocate and stay full-time at ARL's farm in Bangalore Rural.

Good to Have

• Experience or exposure to AgriTech, agriculture, or controlled-environment farming.
• Familiarity with farming equipment, irrigation systems, or farm management tools.
• Knowledge of Hindi, Kannada.

Location

ARL Farm — Bangalore Rural. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires staying at the farm. Accommodation will be provided.
