About the Role
The role sits at the front line of the revenue engine for a B2B SaaS platform serving data and engineering teams. Sales Development Representatives generate the pipeline that account executives close — researching accounts, starting conversations, and qualifying interest across cloud cost management, observability, and developer productivity buyers. This is a metrics-driven, high-volume role built for people who want a career in tech sales. Top performers here advance into account executive or team lead roles within 12-24 months, with structured coaching, clear promotion criteria, and comp tied directly to results.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute 60-80 high-quality touches per day across cold calls, email sequences, LinkedIn, and video messaging
- Research target accounts using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and Gong to identify personas (VP Engineering, Platform Leads, DevOps Managers)
- Qualify inbound demo requests and event leads within 24 hours using a defined MEDDICC-lite framework
- Book 10-15 qualified meetings per week for account executives and hit monthly pipeline targets
- Maintain clean, accurate records in Salesforce, including activity logs, dispositions, and next steps
- Run multithreaded sequences in Outreach and iterate on messaging based on open, reply, and connect rates
- Partner with marketing and AE pod leads to share field intelligence and refine ICP and messaging
Requirements & Tech Stack
- 0-2 years of experience in SaaS sales, SDR/BDR roles, or customer-facing work
- High energy and a track record of hitting goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication — able to hold a credible conversation with technical buyers
- Coachable and resilient: actively seeks feedback, handles rejection, and iterates quickly
- Strong organizational skills and comfort working high volume in a CRM-driven environment
- Genuine curiosity about cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or developer tools
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience with Outreach, Salesforce, Gong, or ZoomInfo; prior internship or B2B sales exposure; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or dev tooling
