About the Role

• Lead engagement efforts in providing high-quality and value-adding consulting solutions to customers at different stages: problem definition, diagnosis, solution design, development, and deployment.
• Review proposals prepared by consultants, provide guidance, and analyze solutions for client business problems to identify potential risks and issues.
• Identify Change Management requirements and propose a structured approach to clients for managing change using multiple communication mechanisms.
• Coach and create a vision for the team, provide subject matter training for focus areas, and motivate/inspire team members through effective feedback and recognition.
• Contribute to unit-level and organizational initiatives to provide high-quality, value-adding consulting solutions, adhering to organizational guidelines and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end migration lifecycle.
• Maintain RAID logs.
• Flag risks early, including app compatibility and identity consolidation.
• Track capacity, throughput, cycle-time, and milestone adherence.
• Design and orchestrate minute-by-minute cutover runbooks, including rollback criteria.
• Run readiness checklists and formal Go/No-Go decisions.
• Lead executive reporting, including dashboards, scorecards, and SteerCo packs.
• Maintain disciplined PM-tool hygiene with accurate, regularly updated status, risk, and target-date data.
• Coordinate cross-timezone (AMER/APAC) shift handoffs with no loss of context.
• Work alongside Migration Support Engineers on assessment, readiness, and validation without becoming a bottleneck.
• Engage technical leads and engineers on scope, dependencies, and trade-offs.
• Judge feasibility, effort, and risk without being overly hands-off or becoming a bottleneck.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong experience in Jira, Confluence, JSM, Atlassian Guard (workflows, permissions, spaces, macros).
• Familiarity with migration tooling and methods, such as the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant, pre-migration assessments, test or sandbox migrations, and post-migration data validation.
• Understanding of Marketplace app compatibility, licensing and replacement paths.
• Understanding of identity and access concepts such as SSO, user directory and domain consolidation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing the end-to-end migration lifecycle.
• Hands-on ability to design and orchestrate minute-by-minute cutover runbooks.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including engaging C-suite/VP-level sponsors.
• Ability to manage expectations through delivery delays.
• Ability to prepare crisp executive escalation briefs covering impact, urgency, and resolution path.
• Experience coordinating cross-timezone shift handoffs.
