Site Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Site Engineer role located in the Greater Chennai Area. The Site Engineer will oversee daily construction activities, coordinate with civil engineers, contractors, and workers, and ensure work progresses according to drawings, specifications, and schedules.

• Monitor structural works.
• Implement quality control procedures.
• Check materials and workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain site documentation.
• Prepare progress reports.
• Assist in resolving technical issues.
• Communicate project updates to project managers and other stakeholders.
• Support site planning.
• Support resource allocation.
• Support problem-solving to keep the project on track.

Qualifications

• Strong on-site supervision skills and practical experience managing construction activities.
• Clear and professional communication skills to coordinate with teams, contractors, and clients.
• Quality control skills, including inspecting work, verifying materials, and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Structural engineering knowledge to understand drawings, load-bearing elements, and construction methods.
• Background as civil engineers or a degree/diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and basic project documentation.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced site environment.
• Experience with residential or commercial construction in the Greater Chennai Area and proficiency in using basic construction management tools is beneficial.
