About the Role
Select Sires Inc. is seeking candidates to join our team as a Corporate Communications Intern. This temporary, full-time, hourly, non-exempt position is at our Plain City, Ohio, facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values.
- Produce Select Sires’ yearly breeding calendars.
- Write press releases and customer testimonials.
- Help coordinate trade show logistics and materials.
- Assist with desktop publishing projects, including advertisements, brochures, and flyers.
- Perform clerical duties.
- Participate in photoshoots.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong grammar and writing skills.
- Focus on details.
- Basic journalism and/or public relations knowledge.
- Desktop design experience (Adobe Creative Suite).
- Knowledge of Associated Press Style is a plus.
Qualifications
- Major in communications, or in dairy- or animal-science with a communications focus, or a related area of study.
- Familiarity with dairy cattle pedigrees.
- Students in their junior or senior year are preferred.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
