About the Role
This role is responsible for the overall upkeep and storage of dirty and clean dishes, maintaining cleanliness in the dish machine and pot and pan areas, and ensuring sanitary food handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains a Service Culture that ensures the delivery of Superior internal/external guest service by all team members.
- Wash all dishes, glassware, and silverware, ensuring they are clean, dry, and spot-free.
- Keep the dish area, machine, and racks clean and organized.
- Stock all clean dishes in storage locations.
- Take trash out of garbage cans and transport to the dumpster, replacing all can liners.
- Drain the dish machine and disassemble parts for cleaning.
- Sweep and mop every shift or as needed.
- Keep chemicals full and replace them when needed using the proper PPE (personal protective equipment).
- Ensure the department adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
- Possess knowledge of all promotions and events.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Able to work flexible shifts.
- Familiarity with standard kitchen equipment.
- Experience working in coolers and freezers.
- Experience with potentially slippery floors.
Physical Requirements
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations.
- Able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to recognize potential food hazards.
- Able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
