Security Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled professional to join our team for Vulnerability Assessment (VA) and Configuration Audit (CA) activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Vulnerability Assessments (VA) and Configuration Audits (CA) on in-scope infrastructure.
• Conduct weekly vulnerability scans using the enterprise vulnerability management platform and prepare detailed reports.
• Review and validate scan results, eliminate false positives, and prioritize findings based on risk.
• Provide technical justifications for reported vulnerabilities to asset owners and auditors.
• Raise, track, and update service requests (RITMs) wherever applicable.
• Coordinate with the manager on issues, approvals, and status updates.
• Adhere to client-defined rules of engagement and testing standards during assessments.
• Ensure timely delivery of all assigned activities within defined SLAs.
• Validate relevant RITMs and update finding statuses based on the latest assessment and remediation updates.
• Use Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, to validate, reconcile, and match vulnerability data across trackers.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Tenable Nessus Security Center
• Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP)

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, especially VLOOKUP and data validation.
• Hands-on knowledge of Tenable Nessus Security Center.
• Understanding of vulnerability assessment, configuration auditing, and vulnerability management processes.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and deliver within agreed SLAs.
