About the Role
The Legal & Compliance team at smallcase is seeking sharp, curious, and research-oriented law students. This role offers an opportunity to impact the organization meaningfully as a fintech operating in capital markets, expanding into technology-led products across banking, insurance, and global offerings. The intern will support growth by providing assistance with legal research, interpretation, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Intelligence: Track and summarize updates from SEBI, RBI, IRDAI, and IFSCA. Review SAT/SEBI adjudication orders to identify emerging trends impacting businesses.
- Deep-Dive Research: Conduct groundwork for new product features and prepare comparison tables to track legislative shifts.
- Gap Analysis: Assess internal policies against new regulations.
- Strategic Support: Assist with regulatory mapping of product features and support the execution of key legal contracts.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Exceptional skills in legal research and interpretation.
- High aptitude for critical thinking.
- Enjoy dissecting complex regulations and applying them to innovative products.
Workplace: Bangalore office with 3 days/week in-office and 2 remote days/week.
