About the Role

The Owner role is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi, responsible for overseeing strategic direction, operations, and stakeholder relationships associated with the Centre’s activities in the region. The Owner will guide business planning, ensure alignment with the Centre’s mission, and supervise financial performance and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating with industry, government, and research partners.
• Reviewing project proposals and progress.
• Ensuring that initiatives meet agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Fostering new collaborations.
• Representing the Centre at meetings and events.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies.
• Leading local teams.
• Promoting a culture of ethical research and food safety.
• Communicating key outcomes to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and management skills, including experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
• Background in food safety, public health, agriculture, science, or a related field, with strong understanding of research and policy environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, industry bodies, research institutions, and community stakeholders.
• Strong strategic planning, financial management, and organizational skills, with experience in budgeting and resource allocation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in or with international or cross-cultural organizations.
• Familiarity with Māori and indigenous partnership frameworks is an advantage.
• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, management, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in New Delhi and commit to full-time responsibilities, including occasional travel as required.
