Cashier

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Cashier role.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer billing.
• Process cash and digital payments.
• Issue receipts.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Provide courteous customer service.
• Answer basic inquiries about prices and products.
• Resolve payment-related issues.
• Balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
• Report discrepancies.
• Follow company policies for refunds, discounts, and approvals.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Coordinate with the store team to support smooth front-desk operations.
• Adhere to all compliance and security procedures.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail for handling cash, digital payments, and transaction records.
• Customer service skills, including clear communication, patience, and a professional, respectful manner with diverse customers.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems, billing software, and standard office applications.
• Ability to work on-site on a full-time schedule, including weekends or extended hours as required.
• Reliability, integrity, and adherence to company policies, cash-handling guidelines, and data privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in cashiering, retail, front office, or customer-facing roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Additional coursework in commerce or accounting is an advantage.
