About the Role

The Rebar Detailer role at DVM Engineering Services is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate rebar shop drawings and bar bending schedules based on structural and architectural plans, ensuring compliance with project specifications and relevant standards.
• Interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers.
• Update drawings to reflect design changes and site requirements.
• Review and check drawings for accuracy.
• Resolve detailing issues with the design team.
• Maintain organized documentation of all project-related detailing work.
• Contribute to efficient fabrication and installation by providing clear, detailed, and practical drawings.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in CAD or detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, RebarCAD, Tekla, or similar tools).
• Basic understanding of relevant codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Shop Drawings and Steel Detailing.
• Solid knowledge of Rebar and Steel Structures.
• Ability to read and interpret Architectural Drawings.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, contractors, and project teams.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, and prior experience in rebar or steel detailing, will be considered an advantage.
