QA Automation Engineer, Selenium & Karate API

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Full Stack Tester to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of both UI and API layers of applications, with a strong focus on automation and agile practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for UI testing.
• Perform API testing using the Karate Framework; use Postman for manual API validation when required.
• Write and manage test cases, user stories, and defects in JIRA.
• Validate backend data using basic SQL queries.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, and other testers in Agile Scrum teams.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
• Identify test scenarios and perform both functional and regression testing.
• Ensure traceability of test cases to business requirements.
• Document and communicate testing progress and results clearly.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Hands-on experience in Selenium automation with BDD Framework (Java preferred).
• Strong understanding of testing concepts and SDLC/STLC processes.
• Proficiency in API testing, especially using Karate Framework.
• Experience using Postman for manual API validation.
• Basic understanding of SQL for data verification.
• Familiarity with Agile testing practices and tools like JIRA.
• Good communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in the Banking domain or financial services testing is preferred.
