About the Role
The Line Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This role is responsible for inspecting components on the production line to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Checking dimensions and visual quality of components.
- Identifying defects.
- Recording inspection results.
- Communicating non-conformities to supervisors and production staff.
- Verifying that processes are followed.
- Supporting corrective actions.
- Working closely with the quality and production teams to maintain consistent output.
- Following safety procedures.
- Maintaining inspection tools and equipment.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Quality Inspection Procedures: Basic understanding including visual checks and dimensional verification.
- Measuring Instruments: Practical knowledge of using calipers, micrometers, gauges.
- Engineering Drawings/Specification Sheets: Ability to read basic drawings or specification sheets.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to record inspection findings accurately and communicate issues clearly.
- Safety Procedures: Ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Teamwork and Communication Skills.
- Modern Machinery and Quality Systems: Experience working with these is implied by the company description.
Qualifications
- BE / Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Freshers or experience in shop-floor inspection, machining, component manufacturing, or a similar production environment is preferred.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work standing on the line and maintain focus in a fast-paced production environment.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts if required.
- Willingness to learn new inspection methods, standards, and company procedures.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing or quality inspection is preferred.
- A diploma or certification in mechanical, production, or related fields is an advantage.
