Palantir

Laurel, MD2d agovia Lever

About the Role

The Deployment Strategist role centers around leveraging data in operational and real-world action. You will be responsible for turning customer hunches about data utilization into reality.

What We Do

As a Deployment Strategist, you will work as part of a driven and creative team to deploy software against challenging problems. Your mission is to synthesize disconnected streams of thought into a cohesive understanding of the most important problem, the meaning of the data, product needs, user motivations, and potential impact. You will immerse yourself in customer workflows, partner with customer teams, explore data, and dive into the product landscape to enable scaling. A select number of Deployment Strategists may also be deployed to Palantir internal teams and problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Go onsite and meet with customer analysts to understand critical questions and locate pain points.
  • Identify relevant datasets through deep engagement with customer problems and workflows, and work with Forward Deployed Engineers to integrate the data into a stable and extensible pipeline.
  • Work with the customer to build bespoke workflows for new user groups.
  • Lead training sessions to ensure the product meets user needs and is used widely for concrete impact.
  • Present the results of work and proposals for future work to diverse audiences.
  • Embed with Software Engineering and Product Design teams to incorporate field insights into cross-Palantir product offerings.
  • Build and deliver demos to new and existing customers.
  • Scope out potential engagements in new industries and expanding global locations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Active US Security Clearance at or above the Top Secret level.
  • Ability to travel 25 – 75%.
  • Experience with programming, scripting or statistical packages (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, SQL) is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Extraordinary ability to take on open-ended problems in unstructured environments.
  • Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, teach, lead, and follow.
  • Low ego, as the outcome matters more than individual credit.
