About the Role
UrbanRoof Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a full-time, on-site Site Civil Engineer based in Chennai. This role involves overseeing day-to-day site activities for waterproofing, structural repair, and building rehabilitation works.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise contractors and workers.
- Ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers and consultants.
- Monitor project timelines and resource allocation.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Prepare progress reports.
- Resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and local building codes.
- Support material selection.
- Verify quantities.
- Assist in planning and execution for multiple ongoing projects.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Civil Engineering fundamentals: Strong knowledge of Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design.
- Project planning and coordination: Skills in Planning and experience working as part of Civil Engineers teams on site.
- Stormwater and drainage expertise: Practical understanding of stormwater management related infrastructure works.
- Technical skills: Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents; familiarity with basic engineering software and MS Office.
- Site management: Strong attention to safety, quality control, and compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Soft skills: Effective communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Prior on-site experience in building construction, repair, rehabilitation, or waterproofing projects is preferred.
