Junior Automation Engineer

Role: Junior Automation Engineer (A2)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for mobile, web, desktop, and API test scenarios.
• Support Appium-based mobile automation and Android Studio workflows.
• Assist with Playwright automation for web and integration testing.
• Write and maintain REST API tests.
• Support mobile app automation and basic mobile network validation activities.
• Use Python and PowerShell to build reliable automation utilities and test helpers.
• Work in Linux & Windows environments to run tests, troubleshoot issues, and support CI execution.
• Follow coding standards and contribute to modular, reusable automation code.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to debug issues and improve test coverage.
• Support Jira/Xray updates and test reporting.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Hands-on coding experience in Python.
• Basic to intermediate experience with Appium.
• Basic to intermediate experience with Android Studio.
• Basic experience with Playwright.
• Basic experience with REST API testing.
• Exposure to desktop and mobile app automation.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell and Linux.
• Support GitLab CI/CD pipelines, unit test execution and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of coding standards and clean code practices.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a structured team environment.

Good to Have

• Java exposure.
• Exposure to mobile networks such as 4G and 5G.
• Basic pcap analysis knowledge.
• Selenium exposure.
• Jira/Xray API integration exposure.
• SoapUI exposure.
• Understanding of server-client integration or networked application environments.
