About the Role
Coherent is seeking an Embedded Systems Software and FPGA Programmer to join our engineering team. This role will support the design, development, and integration of innovative optical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture and Design Support:
- Assist in the design and development of software for embedded systems and FPGA designs.
- Contribute to documentation, including Requirements Documents, block diagrams, Design Documents, and Interface Control Documents, under senior engineer guidance.
- Development and Testing Support:
- Participate in software and FPGA development, aiding in design implementation.
- Execute test plans at various integration levels to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Integration and Test Assistance:
- Support senior engineers in developing Test Plans.
- Engage in integration and testing activities.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Programming Languages:
- Required: C, C++
- Required for FPGA: Verilog
- Beneficial: VHDL
- Operating Systems:
- Beneficial: embedded Linux, real-time operating systems
- Skills:
- Foundational design and development of embedded systems and FPGA programming.
- Basic understanding of hardware/software trade-offs.
- Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Collaborative work ethic.
- Interest in laser systems.
