About Aureum

Aureum AI, LLC is an early-stage real estate software company.

About the Internship

This is a remote, unpaid educational internship focused on software quality assurance and product testing. You’ll gain supervised experience testing assigned web application workflows, identifying bugs and usability concerns, documenting findings and retesting issues after updates. Each testing cycle includes defined instructions, access to a supervisor for questions and feedback on your work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow provided testing instructions and QA checklists.
  • Perform assigned functional, exploratory, regression, browser, and responsive-web testing.
  • Identify bugs, confusing workflows, unclear wording, and inconsistent behavior.
  • Document expected results, actual results, and clear reproduction steps.
  • Collect approved screenshots or recordings to support findings.
  • Retest assigned issues after changes.
  • Submit one organized QA report per assigned testing cycle.
  • Report blocked or incomplete tests honestly and communicate questions or scheduling difficulties promptly.

All testing uses fictional information and designated, non-delivering test environments.

This role does not include coding, production system access, real customer data, or live customer communications.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Clear written communication and organized reporting.
  • Reliability in completing agreed assignments and communicating difficulties.
  • Basic comfort using web applications, taking screenshots, and documenting observations.
  • Willingness to follow instructions, ask questions, and apply feedback.
  • Patience when repeating tests and checking whether issues have been resolved.
  • Interest in software quality, product usability, or technology.

No previous professional QA or coding experience is required.

Relevant coursework and personal projects are welcome.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

What You Will Learn

  • How functional, exploratory, and regression testing work.
  • How to identify and reproduce software defects.
  • How to write clear, useful bug reports.
  • How to distinguish a defect from a usability concern or personal preference.
  • How to organize testing evidence and communicate findings.
  • How a product team reviews and responds to QA feedback.

Time Commitment and Terms

  • Expect approximately 2–5 hours during an assigned testing week.
  • Maximum of 5 hours per assigned week and 30 total hours across the agreed internship term.

These limits include orientation, training, meetings, testing, evidence collection, reports, and retesting.

There is no on-call requirement, and no report is required during an unassigned week.

This internship is unpaid, does not automatically renew, and does not guarantee employment or academic credit.

Selected candidates must complete Aureum’s internship, confidentiality, and intellectual-property agreements before receiving access.

How to Apply

  • Apply through LinkedIn with your résumé and a brief introduction explaining your interest in software QA.
  • Include any relevant coursework, projects, or testing experience.
