About The ODNR Summer Internship

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is offering paid summer internship positions for students pursuing degrees in Graphic Design, Photography, or Videography. This internship provides an opportunity to play a key role in ensuring a balance between wise use and protection of Ohio's natural resources.

What You'll Do

• Work on design projects including signage, flyers, handouts, and social graphics.
• Build content for online platforms.
• Research, edit, write, and fact-check news releases.
• Coordinate exhibits, which includes set up, tear down, scheduling, and signage.
• Gain a comprehensive knowledge of the Department's functions and purpose.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student in Graphic Design, Photography, or Videography majors at an accredited college, university, or community college.
• Maintain good academic standing (2.5 GPA or higher).
• Resume
• Portfolio with a sample of graphic design work (or a link to the applicant's website).
• Writing sample (e.g., research paper or assignment from a previous job or class, 1-2 pages, relevant to the internship).

Additional Information

• Work Location: 2045 Morse Road, ODNR Main Columbus, Ohio, 43229.
• Compensation: $16.00/hr.
• Schedule: Temporary - Part Time.
• Work Hours: Variable.
